Dillon Pennington claimed four wickets as a strong team bowling performance kept Nottinghamshire in charge with one day remaining against Leicestershire.

Pennington collected 4/42, while debutant seamer Tom Giles returned 2/26 as the Foxes, resuming on 23-2, were restricted to only 227 runs all day to close on 250-7.

Despite 97 from nightwatcher Josh Hull, that still put them 201 in arrears, and perhaps more crucially with only a day left in the game, 52 short of avoiding the follow-on.
