Tammy Beaumont hammered a 24-ball fifty as The Blaze edged out Lancashire Thunder by three wickets with three balls to spare at Emirates Old Trafford.

Beaumont’s ultimate total of 54 from 29 deliveries was the visitors’ top score, and was well backed up by a 22-ball 32 for Sarah Bryce and Kirstie Gordon’s 20 not out off 18.

The trio helped The Blaze complete a successful chase of 163 in the final over, with the target set after Meg Lanning had amassed an unbeaten 81 from 49 for the hosts.

Two wickets apiece for Grace Ballinger and Charli Knott - who combined for figures of 4/37 - helped the visitors keep Lancashire in check, before Beaumont powered them to victory.
