Fergus O’Neill says he hopes Nottinghamshire can be catalysed on to defending their Rothesay County Championship title after crushing Essex by an innings inside three days.

O’Neill, who claimed a five-wicket haul in what is his final match for Notts before he returns to his native Australia, spoke highly of all his teammates after the huge victory.
