Kathryn and Sarah Bryce shared an unbroken partnership of 132 as The Blaze dismantled Essex by nine wickets to book their spot in the Metro Bank One Day Cup final.

Chasing the visitors’ meagre 159, set after Kirstie Gordon had led the attack with 3/25 from nine overs, the Bryce sisters completed victory at breakneck speed, winning in 19.1 overs.

Cassidy McCarthy, Lucy Higham, and Kathryn Bryce all claimed two wickets each as the Eagles were dismissed with 4.2 overs of their innings still remaining.

Sarah Bryce then top-scored with 70 not out, with Kathryn adding an unbeaten 67, as The Blaze coasted home to seal top spot and progression straight through to the final in Southampton next week.
