Head Coach Peter Moores stressed that there remains “a lot of cricket to play” after Nottinghamshire were held to a draw by Leicestershire at Trent Bridge.
Despite the frustration of a stalemate, Moores found positives in the performances that were put in, and praised centurions Haseeb Hameed, Jack Haynes, and Liam Patterson-White.
He also expressed pride in the tireless bowling performance to eventually dismiss the Foxes, headed up by Dillon Pennington, as well as crediting Tom Giles with remaining calm on debut.
