Nottinghamshire's Joe Clarke and The Blaze's Charley Phillips have been nominated for PCA Player of the Year awards in partnership with Toyota.

Clarke, the leading run-scorer in the County Championship, is up for the overall men's prize, with Phillips' form across all competitions earning her a nomination for Women's Young Player of the Year.

The awards see players across England and Wales voting for which 14 individual performers have impressed them the most over the last 12 months.

In the men’s game, the four outstanding players with the most votes consist of Clarke, having recently won the PCA Player of the Month for August, Yorkshire’s George Hill, Surrey and England’s Dan Lawrence and three-time PCA Player of the Month winner in 2026, Craig Overton.

The Toyota PCA Women’s Player of the Year contenders include two PCA Player of the Month winners in Maia Bouchier and Mady Villiers, with Surrey and England’s Sophia Dunkley and Somerset’s Sophie Luff all competing for the prize.

With more than 175 current professionals expected in attendance, the most prestigious cricket awards ceremony in the country also recognises the best rising talents of the game, with those under the age of 24 on 1 April eligible with six players nominated.

Three talented players adorn the Toyota PCA Men’s Young Player of the Year shortlist with Essex’s Charlie Allison, England and Hampshire’s Sonny Baker and Middlesex’s Naavya Sharma up against each other for the accolade.

In a testament to the Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year nominees, both Surrey’s Tilly Corteen-Coleman and Essex’s Jodi Grewcock have represented England this year with The Blaze bowler Phillips completing the competitive list.

All shortlisted players have been voted for by their peers, with the four headline award winners revealed at Exhibition White City, London on Wednesday 30 September.

Toyota PCA Men’s Player of the Year

Nottinghamshire batter Clarke produced a tremendous 12 months, scoring a mammoth 2,009 runs, including four First-Class hundreds with a highest score of 150 against Warwickshire.

Currently the leading run-scorer in the Rothesay County Championship with 1,280 runs, the 30-year-old also impressed in The Hundred scoring 291 runs for Birmingham Phoenix.

Yorkshire all-rounder Hill impressed with bat and ball in 2026, having scored 904 runs and taken 64 wickets across all formats.

The 25-year-old took 45 in the County Championship with a phenomenal average of 18.57, with best figures of 5-29 against Hampshire in a 39-run win.

Meanwhile, England all-rounder Lawrence scored 1,839 runs and took 24 wickets with his off-spin, including stints in the ILT20 and SA20 in the previous 12 months.

The Surrey man averages 60.21 in the County Championship, scoring five hundreds and represented England in Tests, achieving three half-centuries against Pakistan.

Somerset all-rounder Overton has enjoyed a fantastic all-round year, amassing 950 runs and taking 75 wickets and 41 catches.

The 32-year-old scored three First-Class hundreds and averaged 18.25 with the ball in the County Championship. He also scored a memorable unbeaten 79 in the Blast quarter-final.

Toyota PCA Women’s Player of the Year

Hampshire and England’s Bouchier scored 1,716 runs across all formats, including 750 in the Metro Bank One Day Cup with four centuries and an average of 75. Her 50-over form continued internationally, hitting her highest ODI score of 104.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a brilliant Vitality Blast competition scoring 362 runs, averaging 72.40 with four fifties.

Dunkley produced a thrilling season, scoring 1,236 runs, which included 498 for England and a new international high score of 119 in ODIs.

The 28-year-old won the Metro Bank ODI Women’s Player of the Summer award and impressed in the WBBL and The Hundred, scoring 354 and 301 runs respectively.

Somerset captain Luff scored over 1,000 runs this summer, 536 of those came in the One Day Cup where she averaged 41.23 and scored three fifties and two hundreds.

The 32-year-old helped Trent Rockets to success in The Hundred and scored more than 500 runs across the 100-ball format and Blast, including six half-centuries.

Durham all-rounder Villiers made her Test debut for England in a year where she took a hugely impressive 55 wickets and totalled 786 runs.

The 28-year-old scored her first professional hundred in the One Day Cup and took 17 wickets in the Blast at an average of 14.11.

Toyota PCA Men’s Young Player of the Year

Essex batter Allison scored 1,137 runs this season, with a highest score of 114 in the Rothesay County Championship and 346 runs in the Vitality Blast at an average of 43.25 with five fifties.

Hampshire and England quick Baker was awarded a Test debut in 2026 and took 62 wickets in the domestic game. The 23-year-old picked up 33 wickets across the Blast and The Hundred with best figures of 5-21.

Middlesex bowler Sharma took 58 wickets across domestic cricket in 2026. The 21-year-old averaged 21.31 for his 35 wickets in the County Championship and 18.88 in the Metro Bank One Day Cup for his 17 wickets.

Toyota PCA Women’s Young Player of the Year

Surrey and England spinner Corteen-Coleman took 27 wickets in domestic cricket with a best of 3-27 in The Hundred. The 19-year-old was awarded international debuts in IT20 and ODIs, taking seven wickets for England.

Essex’s Grewcock made her international debut this summer, the 21-year-old scored 871 runs in domestic cricket and took 14 wickets. She also achieved her first professional hundred with an unbeaten 120 in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

The Blaze bowler Phillips took 48 wickets and helped her side to Blast success. The 23-year-old took career best figures of 5-49 in the One Day Cup and averaged 13.55 with the ball in The Hundred.
