Joe Clarke and Kathryn Bryce have been confirmed as the winners of the Men’s and Women’s PCA Player of the Month trophies for August, respectively.

Batter Clarke, 30, enjoyed a fine month across formats with the bat, notably hitting a sparkling 150 in tricky conditions against Warwickshire in a County Championship clash at Edgbaston.

That followed a crucial 95 that helped Notts to a three-day win over Surrey at the Kia Oval a week prior, while he also hit two fifties in Birmingham Phoenix colours during The Hundred.

His efforts in the red-ball game, namely the eye-catching century in Birmingham, were enough to see him become the first man in the country to pass 1,000 County Championship runs

Meanwhile, all-rounder Bryce totalled 275 runs across the month, with a top score of 136 against Durham - a new career-best - as well as taking 12 wickets across all formats.

Her August was capped off by being crowed a Vitality T20 County Cup champion as she took 4/18 and hit the winning run in the final against Surrey to see The Blaze to a second piece of silverware this year.

The pair were shortlisted for the awards using the PCA’s Most Valuable Player Rankings, powered by OFX.

The unique algorithm selected the top four men’s and women’s players before they faced a public vote, with the winners decided by a 50:50 split in the two.

With a staggering 66 per cent of the public vote, Clarke took the accolade in the men’s game, while Bryce picked up her first PCA Player of the Month award since June 2024 with 63 per cent of the public vote.
