Henry Rogers slammed an unbeaten century to follow Tom Moores’ earlier 84 as Nottinghamshire 2nd XI twice saw off Yorkshire in a T20 double-header in Leeds.

Notts will take on the White Rose in both sides’ opening Vitality Blast match on Friday, and this was two decisive victories for the Outlaws in a dress rehearsal for that fixture.

Moores blasted his runs off just 34 balls in the first encounter, striking six fours and nine sixes as the visitors breezed to their target of 118 inside ten overs for an eight-wicket win.

Astonishingly, five of Moores’ last six balls all went flying over the rope - including his last four in a row - as his 34-minute cameo proved devastatingly effective.

Isaac Bepey’s 2/29 failed to stop the onslaught, as his side’s 117 all out - set after Joe Pocklington had taken 3/15 and in spite of Will Bennison’s 59 - proved to be far short.

There was no let up for the hosts either, as despite Moores not appearing twice, it was Rogers who took up the mantle in the second game with a 57-ball knock to head up a total of 210-3.

Rogers hit nine fours and six sixes, and found support in Pocklington’s 28-ball 54, with the duo adding an unbroken 135 from 56 balls, as the Outlaws piled on the runs.

Rob Lord and James Hayes then claimed two wickets apiece as despite James Wharton hitting 64 off 41, the hosts were restricted to 189-7, giving Notts a second victory by 21 runs.
