Paul Franks was pleased with the purpose that he saw from Nottinghamshire despite another weather-afflicted day against Hampshire at Utilita Bowl.
The Green and Golds bowled their hosts out for 214, before advancing to 124-3 prior to another band of rain bringing an early end to the second day’s play.
Franks hailed Fergus O’Neill, who claimed a five-wicket haul early on, as well as praising Ben Slater and Freddie McCann’s application, who put on an important 85 for the second wicket.
