The Hundred’s inaugural Auction will take place in the heart of London at Piccadilly Lights on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March.
The Auction will see over 200 players go under the hammer, with Trent Rockets’ men’s and women’s teams picking up to 14 players each.
The women’s Auction will take place on 11 March, before the men’s team bid for their players a day later, with auctioneer Richard Madley running proceedings across both days.
The Rockets women’s team, coached by Chris Read, have already retained Nat Sciver-Brunt and Ash Gardner, alongside acquiring Sophia Dunkley and Kim Garth.
Meanwhile, the men’s side, under the leadership of Peter Moores, have signed Tim David, Ben Duckett, and Mitchell Santner, to go with the retention of Tom Banton.
Trent Rockets’ Director of Cricket, Mick Newell, said: “We’re really excited to head to London and complete the make-up of our squads as The Hundred enters a new era.
“Having used the draft system in the past to sign players, the Auction is a new challenge, but it’s one that Chris, Peter, and I are really looking forward to.
“We’re very happy with the sigings we’ve made so far, and we’re enthusiastic about the opportunity to build two new squads that we hope will bring success this summer.”
The men’s team had a salary pot of £2.05m to spend on their squad, and the women’s team £880,000, with a set portion of each amount removed to reflect the pre-auction signings.
Across the Auction, the Rockets will compete with the seven other sides to sign players across three phases: Hero Players, Ranked Players and Nominated Players.
All teams will provide a long-list of players whom they are most interested in signing ahead of the auction, with the three phases reflecting the aggregated interest in each player.
The Auction will be available to watch in full on The Hundred’s YouTube and social media channels, with live coverage and updates also available across Sky Sports and BBC Sport.
