Grace Ballinger praised The Blaze’s clinical performance in securing a season-opening DLS-affected six-run win over Lancashire at Trent Bridge.

Contributions aplenty from batters and bowlers alike saw the hosts take home the points in a tense clash with the defending champions, and Ballinger gave full credit to the entire squad.

The seamer, who claimed 3/30 from her own ten overs, admitted it was enjoyable to see her winter’s work come to fruition on the field.

She also went on to praise the calm heads of Marie Kelly and Orla Prendergast in helping to get the side over the line in a rain-affected chase.
