Nottinghamshire supporters will be able to claim their slice of Trent Bridge history in the coming days, with seats from the venue’s historic Pavilion terraces available for collection.
The redevelopment of the centuries-old Pavilion building has reached a significant milestone in recent weeks, with the steel frame of the restored and extended facility now complete.
Ahead of the re-opening of facilities for members next summer, work will commence to enhance spectator seating areas, with new terracing and padded seats installed in front of the Pavilion itself.
The seats which were previously in place at the Stuart Broad End are now, therefore, available for members to take home, in exchange for a discretionary donation to the club’s official charity, the Trent Bridge Community Trust.
“With construction continuing at pace throughout the close season, we’re moving towards a really exciting period in the redevelopment of our Pavilion,” said Nottinghamshire’s Interim Chief Executive Michael Temple.
“Work will soon be able to begin on ensuring our refurbished facility feels like home, with the installation of fixtures, fittings and a healthy helping of touches that honour our heritage.
“At the same time, we’ve taken the opportunity to improve our member seating areas – and ahead of the arrival of those new, more comfortable seats, it feels only appropriate to allow our members to take home a seat from which they may well have witnessed moments of sporting history.
“We hope members will enjoy the opportunity to take home a money-can’t-buy keepsake from our historic venue, and to have a permanent reminder of Trent Bridge at their own home.”
Seats, along with frames and fixings, will be available to collect on a first-come-first-served basis on Thursday 18 December (1pm – 3pm), and Monday 22 December (10am-12pm).
Members who wish to collect a seat should arrive at the venue’s Dixon Gate (on Bridgford Road, opposite the Co Op) during those times, and speak to the gate steward. Limited parking will be available on-site, with further space at the Notts Sports Ground.
Should supporters have further queries, they should email questions@trentbridge.co.uk
Kindly note that the club will be unable to facilitate the delivery of seats to individuals’ homes, and that specific seats cannot be reserved in advance.
