Heritage talk
With this fixture being the nearest home match to VJ Day we will be marking the occasion with an illustrated talk about the Notts CCC and Trent Bridge during World War II.
Notts were the only First-Class team to play matches during every year of the war at their county HQ – sometimes relying on guest players from other counties and from local clubs – while numerous cricketers were involved in wartime occupations, some serving in Asia. Although cricket did continue, parts of the ground were used for the war effort while Trent Bridge also suffered bomb damage during “The Nottingham Blitz” of May 1941.
You are welcome to bring your sandwiches and drinks to this free event, which takes place during the interval in the Rice Bar above the Ticket Office. Please note: there is no lift access to the Rice Bar; visitors with mobility difficulties who would like to attend the talk are asked to contact the Ticket Office staff for alternative arrangements.
The Wynne-Thomas Library
All spectators are very welcome to visit the Wynne-Thomas Library and explore the thousands of books on the shelves, read the latest cricket magazines and chat to other visitors.
There are many new books for adults and children that Notts members are welcome to borrow – including a range of books about Gloucestershire cricket and cricketers – in addition to some Wisden almanacks and Notts Annuals that are now available for loan.
Situated behind the Ticket Office, the Wynne-Thomas Library is open from 1.30 pm until 3.15 pm.
Heritage displays
In the Wynne-Thomas Library there is a display about the first 1,000 ‘List A’ (ie ‘One Day’) matches that Notts have played since 1963 – including four Cup Final victories. There is also a small display about the 1905 season and information about the current project to refurbish and extend the Pavilion.
Displays about the major women’s cricket matches played at Trent Bridge since 1939 and about Eileen White – a great pioneer of the women’s game – are in the corridor near the Ticket Office.
Information panels about Notts’ knights of the realm – Sir Garry Sobers and Sir Richard Hadlee – can be seen on the ground floor of the Radcliffe Road stand, in the waiting areas named after these two giants of the game.
Toilet and baby changing facilities
Ample toilet facilities are located, and well signposted, in various locations around the ground.
Kindly note that access to accessible toilets is available via a Radar key, which can be collected from our stewards.
Baby changing facilities are available in the William Clarke Stand ladies’ toilets, the PKF Smith Cooper Stand toilets, the Hound Road ladies’ toilets, in the Radcliffe Road Stand (on the concourse, beside Radcliffe Road reception, on the East wing of the first floor), and in the accessible toilet to the rear of the Acrisure Stand. Please feel free to ask any steward for directions.
We're proud to be recognised as a Breastfeeding Friendly in Rushcliffe certified venue, with a private baby feeding room and quiet space available in the Radcliffe Road Stand, next to reception. This space includes baby-change accessories, comfortable feeding chair and calming projector.
Mothers are, of course, welcome to breastfeed within their stand seats throughout the day.
Faith room
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, our Fielders' Rest multi-faith room and quiet space is available on the ground floor of the Ticket Office building. Please see a steward if you need directions.
Prayer mats are provided, with guests welcome to bring their own religious items if they wish to use these whilst praying.
Sensory bags
A limited number of Trent Bridge sensory bags will be available to borrow for the duration of the matchday, and can be collected from the Radcliffe Road Reception.
Bags will include some of the following items: ear defenders (in children’s or adult sizes), binoculars, fidget items and a set of emotion cards.
A quiet room is also available next to the Radcliffe Road Reception for those with a neurodiverse condition that need a place to retreat for a little while.

First Aid facilities will be available at the rear of the Radcliffe Road and PKF Smith Cooper Stands.
