Jack Haynes continued his fine form across all formats with another half-century but Notts fell to defeat by 124 runs in the Metro Bank One Day Cup against Leicestershire Foxes.
The hosts set Outlaws a target of 334 to pick up their second victory of the campaign with Sol Budinger high scoring with a 102, while Joe Pocklington was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2-45 and bowling all ten available overs.
Although there were partnerships within the top order which included Haynes' 56, Notts were unable to keep a pair at the crease long enough to chase down another high total.
Notts lost the toss and were made to bowl first at Kibworth and got off to the perfect start with Brett Hutton trapping Rishi Patel LBW with just his second ball.
Although The Foxes were scoring quickly inside the powerplay, Notts seemed to create chances; Rob Lord finding the outside edge in back-to-back deliveries but both dropping short of the slips.
Sol Budinger and Ian Holland soon reached their 50 partnership and saw the hosts 58/1 at the end of the first ten overs.
Liam Patterson-White came into the attack and struck quickly to remove Holland after some quick hands from Tom Moores saw Leicestershire’s no.3 stumped for 32.
Budinger though only accelerated the speed he was scoring at moving to his 50 from 45 balls and with Shan Masood alongside him the pair continued to apply serious pressure to the Outlaws’ bowling attack.
At the half-way stage Leicestershire were 161/2 and after some big hitting from Budinger he reached his century from 75 balls and the pair’s hundred partnership.
Rob Lord found the breakthrough soon after though removing the centurion after a brilliant catch from Pocklington running back towards the boundary.
Catcher turned bowler as Pocklington managed to take the wicket of Shan Masood for 50, picking out Jack Haynes at long-off before he had his second soon after as Ben Cox found Rob Lord on the leg side.
With ten overs to play, The Foxes were 239/5 as Notts had managed to gain some control of the run-rate.
Patterson-White managed to take the wicket of captain Handscomb, however Leicestershire began to up the run rate again and although Lord and Lyndon James took two wickets in the final five overs, the hosts managed to set Notts a target of 334 to win.
Ben Slater departed early, but Haynes and Haseeb Hameed settled the visitors, racing to a fifty partnership that left Notts 57/1 at the end of the powerplay.
However the captain was caught behind on the first ball after the opening ten overs for 23. Freddie McCann departed six overs later after being superbly caught at mid-wicket by Peter Handscombe.
Sam Seecharan joined Haynes at the crease who had found multiple boundaries and reached his fifty of 51 balls.
Three quick wickets of Haynes, Moores and Seecharan saw Notts 128/6 at the halfway stage.
Liam Patterson-White and Lyndon James added 46 for a seventh-wicket stand with the former launching a huge maximum before being stumped by Ben Cox for 23.
James was then bowled three balls later for 22 before Pocklington and Lord added 34 as a ninth-wicket partnership before the former was caught at mid-wicket for 15.
Brett Hutton was the last wicket to fall to Trevaskis who picked up his five-fer.
