Nottinghamshire's England star Stuart Broad has been awarded his county cap.

The 21-year-old seamer was presented with his cap by skipper Chris Read ahead of Notts' first LV County Championship match of the season.

Broad is not available for the match at Canterbury against Kent as the England selectors have requested he get some rest ahead of a busy schedule of internationals this summer.

After signing from Leicestershire at end of last season, Broad's first appearance for Notts will be against Oxford UCCE on April 23, followed by a Championship trip to Yorkshire and the return game with Kent at Trent Bridge.
