Nat Sciver-Brunt, Kirstie Gordon, and Samit Patel have been nominated for entry to the inaugural T20 Hall of Fame.
Presented by Vitality, the Hall of Fame will recognise those whose performances and impact in ECB domestic T20 cricket competitions have been exceptional, both on and off the field.
As part of the launch, The Blaze pair Sciver-Brunt and Gordon are among six women’s players on the inaugural shortlist, while Patel is among the same number of male nominees.
Alongside Patel are all-rounder Ravi Bopara, spinner Danny Briggs, and batters Joe Denly, James Vince, and Luke Wright.
Meanwhile, Sciver-Brunt and Gordon are joined on the women’s shortlist by batters Charlotte Edwards, Heather Knight, and Danni Wyatt-Hodge, and seam bowler Katie Levick.
Two names from each list will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday 15 May, one week ahead of the start of the 2026 Vitality Blast.
An independent expert panel – comprising former players, commentators and journalists – will select those from the shortlisted names who will be inducted.
Fans will also get the opportunity to have their say via a Public Vote, which will be hosted on ECB channels, and which will form a weighted element of the final decision‑making process.
“To be shortlisted for the T20 Hall of Fame is something that I’m hugely proud of especially alongside some great names,” said Patel.
“It means a lot to be recognised for what I’ve tried to give to the domestic game over so many years.
“To be one of the first players inducted would be an incredible honour and something I’d feel very privileged to be part of.”
Gordon added: “It’s really humbling to be mentioned in the same category as those other players, that have done so much for the game and achieved so much.
“I’m honoured and it’s a privilege to have been nominated. It comes as a real shock but I’m really proud of the achievement.”
